Masonic Lodge - First Masonic Capital of Indiana - Historic Charlestown was the seat of the Grand Lodge of Indiana its first year, 1818. In this frontier village Alexander Buckner, first Grand Masterof Masons and later U.S. Senator from Missouri, practiced law.
